Following Google's announcement of starting a music subscription service, news of what's delaying Apple's version is shedding some light.
Apple has reportedly hit a metaphorical dead end during negotiations with Sony Music due to some features on what has been coined as "iRadio."
Sony Music, which is currently the world's second-largest music label, apparently has a concern on how much Apple will pay for the songs when not only played but also skipped. According to other sources, there may be additional concerns resulting to the snag.

The music subscription venture by Apple will likely to resemble and compete against Storify and Pandora, which allows users to build a playlist or skip songs. In an interesting note, Pandora, which allows users to skip a song by also giving it a thumbs-down rating, still pays royalties to the record labels, even if the song is played for a couple seconds.
It isn't all bad for Apple, as the Cupertino-based organization have reportedly reached an agreement with the world's largest music label, Universal Music. Apple is also near a deal with Warner Music Group.
According to CNET, a Sony representative declined to comment, and an Apple spokesperson wasn't immediately available.
The development of Apple's music subscription venture comes as Google confirmed and announced its version known as All Access. During Google's I/O conference, the search engine's music subscription service is offering a free trial for 30 days, but once the trial is over, it will cost the user $9.99 per month. Google is offering a monthly fee of $7.99 for users who register by June 30. All Access, according to Google, allows users to create their own radio playlist, listen to music with unlimited skips, receive recommendations, store up to 20,000 songs, and no advertisements.
