T-Mobile is joining Sprint as one of the major U.S. carriers to be rolling out an Android 4.1.2 update for its Galaxy S3 users complete with Premium Suite features such as Multi-Window.
The update, which began rolling out May 13, will bring the Galaxy S3's Baseband version to T999UVDMD5. Owners with Baseband version T999UVDLJC are eligible to snag the upgrade OTA, although bear in mind new Android versions are typically pushed out in batches, meaning some will get it sooner than the other. Those with Basebands T999UVDLJA, T999UVLH2, T999UVLG1, and T999UVLEM will have to manually use Samsung's KIES software to land Android 4.1.2.
The update does weigh in at a hefty 186MB, so be sure the handset is charged and is tethered to a Wi-Fi network.

Android 4.1.2 is by no means a major overhaul, but it will introduce Multi-Window to T-Mobile Galaxy S3 owners. Multi-Window allows for two apps to run simultaneously onscreen. So far, Sprint is the only other major U.S. carrier to have rolled out Multi-Window for its Galaxy S3 variant. AT&T and Verizon customers are still left in the dark, and there has been no comment on when the nation's two largest networks will release Premium Suite softwares for their Galaxy S3s.
Alongside Multi-Window, the update also allows for auto-pairing via NFC and enhanced camera options. New apps include Paper Artist, Sound Balance, Samsung Gallery, a Blocking Mode, and an Easy Mode. The usual bug fixes and minor security tweaks also apply.
Let us know if you have a chance to download Android 4.1.2 with Multi-Window, what your experience with it is like, and where you are located.
