Google's I/O conference is less than one week away, and the company is expected to unveil a new lineup of devices for the upcoming year. Among them is the second-generation Nexus 7 tablet and one analyst claims he has a pretty good idea of what the tablet will be packing ahead of any official details from Google.

According to KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the "new Nexus 7" will feature a 7-inch LTPS display with a 1920x1200 (WUXGA) resolution, offering far more pixels per inch than the original Nexus 7's 1280X800 screen. Underneath, Kuo believes the new Nexus 7 will sport a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, the same chipset as the LG Nexus 4 smartphone. The next-gen Nexus 7 should also have a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera, something the original did not. Other specs include an HD front-facing camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, and a 4,000mAh battery that can be charged wirelessly using Qi standards. The tablet will also apparently be running Android 4.3 out of the box and be priced starting at $199. There was no mention of storage space options.

None of this has been confirmed, and analysts are known for their rather unruly speculations, but some of the details do line up with previous reports. Google has been said to be focusing on Android 4.3 as their next mobile OS iteration, with Android 5.0 "Key Lime Pie" being put on hold until later this year. Other rumors have pointed to a July release date for the second-generation Nexus 7, which would fit nicely with a reveal at Google's I/O conference that kicks off May 15.

In terms of design, the Nexus 7 is said to have a smaller bezel and be thinner than the original - a common trend in other upcoming tablet rumors, including those concerning the iPad mini 2.
