The first bit of DLC for Injustice: Gods Among Us is arriving today. It'll feature a brand new character: the intergalactic bounty hunting anti-hero Lobo.
The DLC is priced at 400MSP on Xbox Live and $5.00 on the PlayStation Network. For owners of the Injustice Season Pass, Lobo will be the first of four planned additions for the game.
Lobo first debuted in Omega Men #3 as an interstellar mercenary and bounty hunter. He appeared every once in a while in the 80s as a villain, before being reintroduced as an anti-hero in the 1990s. Lobo's abilities include a superhuman sense of smell, super strength, stamina, and durability, as well as a regenerative healing, a genius level intelligence, and Wolverine-esque immortality.
During his short run in the 90s, Lobo became a surprise hit, and has since become a cult favorite among DC Comics readers. Interestingly, Lobo is also the favorite DC Comics character of Stan Lee.
In the game, Lobo's Character Trait is his shotgun, which he can load with exploding bullets. His "Main Man" supermove utilizes his chains, motorcycle, and gun.
In addition to Lobo, Injustice is also getting two new skin packs. The "Bad Girls Skin Pack" adds new looks for Wonder Woman, Catwoman, and Harley Quinn. These include Catwoman's Selina Kyle outfit, Wonder Woman's #600 look, and Harley Quinn's classic jester outfit.
The "Teen Titans Skin Pack" features customization options for Cyborg, Deathstroke, and Raven.
These skin packs will be sold separately for 240MSP or $3.00.
The second piece of announced DLC will be the addition of Batgirl as a playable character. A release date for that character has not been revealed.
Rumors are currently circulating about General Zod and Mortal Kombat's Scorpion being the final two characters of the first season, although neither has been confirmed in any way.
