Sony Online Entertainment has officially announced that DC Universe Online will be getting a brand new content pack. The seventh batch of DLC will be titled Origin Crisis, and will feature a number of new story and gameplay additions.
The DLC pack takes place in alternate versions of Gotham City and Metropolis. The official announcements states that "In Origin Crisis, a council of Batmen and a council of Lex Luthors from alternate realities have assembled for war," and that's where your character steps in.
Among the bigger gameplay features is a brand new power set, Quantum Powers. These new abilities give "players the ability to manipulate Time and Space."
"By altering time, manipulating gravity, and folding space, this Controller/Damage power set will be a force to be reckoned with." You can check out a preview of this new power set below.
Additionally, Origin Crisis will include "new gear and rewards, and new Raid and Group content that 'will push Heroes and Villains to their limits.'"
Included in this are two new 4-person Operations, as well as origin missions for Huntress and Bizarro. Additionally, the DLC pack will contain the two hardest Raids yet, which will unlock a brand new currency: Marks of Reality.
Origin Crisis will be launched on May 14, with Legendary members getting early access on May 8.

DCUO is a free-to-play, microtransaction based MMO. It is set in an alternate DC Comics timeline where Lex Luthor has released particles into the atmosphere that results in the creation of thousands of new metahumans.
The game was originally released on January 11, 2011, and has since maintained a strong following. Origin Crisis will be the seventh full installment of DLC content.
