The Elder Scrolls Online is set to come out at some point in 2013, but so far it is still in the beta stages of release. However, Bethesda has released some new details about the game through a new Ask Us Anything post on their website.

One of the big details revealed about the game concerns the game's armor system.

"Armor is divided into 3 categories: light, medium, and heavy," the post reads. "Light armor is generally good for magicka users. Medium armor is good for stamina users, and heavy armor is good for keeping yourself alive as long as possible."

Armor will then divide up between specialized racial styles (though any race of the game can wear any armor) and special armor sets, such as Daedric. When asked about armor and its effects on player vs. player combat, Bethesda revealed some interesting information about the armor system.

"Even though every player can use any armor type, the choice has a huge influence on playstyle (more so than class, even).  Light armor will allow you to cast many more spells, but at the expense of protection. While it is certainly possible to use light armor and fight in the front line, it will make you a lot less survivable than someone wearing heavy armor. So, if you see an enemy in robes, it's a pretty safe bet that he will be throwing spells at you."

Bethesda revealed several more factoids about the game as well. When asked about puzzles being included in the game, the response was "absolutely!" The Q & A session also revealed that some areas of the game will have slavery, and that Dragonborn and the shouts from The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim will not be part of the game.
