Borderlands 2 players looking to try out the brand-new sixth playable character, a psycho named Krieg, will not have to wait long. The latest DLC for the game, separate from the Season Pass, will be available on May 14. Krieg will cost 800 Microsoft Points ($9.99), according to IGN.
Krieg was previously announced and shown off at PAX East, and, as a psycho like many of the enemies in the game, he is focused on melee combat and gets bonuses for taking damage. Needless to say, he will play much differently from the other characters in the game, so the character should offer a unique playthrough of the game. Some of Krieg's special abilities include setting himself on fire for extra damage, and throwing TNT at enemies when downed.
Gearbox is also diligently working on the last piece of Season Pass DLC, whose name was accidentally leaked through a Twitter photo showing promotional material for the DLC. Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep is expected to launch by the end of June, and is heavily influenced on Dungeons & Dragons. In the teaser trailer for the DLC, Tiny Tina is shown playing Bunkers & Badasses, which looks like the Pandora version of the tabletop game. The miniature explosives expert will be playing dungeon master for the DLC, creating the quests and influencing the game as players go through it.
With the release of Krieg and Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep approaching rapidly, it may appear that the DLC for Borderlands 2 is coming to a close. However, Gearbox has stated that more DLC could potentially be created, so this may not be the last add-on to the world of Pandora we see yet.
