The Samsung Galaxy S4 is finally available at Sprint retail stores, but customers who pre-ordered the phone through Best Buy are getting some bad news now.
The big box store is sending emails to some customers saying their Galaxy S4 has been delayed. Best Buy says the phones will now ship sometime between May 9 and May 20.
"We're sorry, but the fulfillment of your recent pre-order is taking longer than expected. We expect it to arrive between May 9 and May 20. To keep you informed of its delivery, we'll send tracking information once the item has shipped," says the email from Best Buy, according to Android Central.
"If you prefer, you can cancel this order at any time. To do so, please call us at 1-888-BEST BUY (1-888-237-8289). If possible, please have your order number handy.
If we don't hear from you before the order is shipped, we'll assume you still want this item and accept this delay. Once again, we're sorry for this inconvenience, and we'll do our best to make things right," it continues.
Samsung has been experiencing supply shortages of the Galaxy S4 worldwide, but AT&T and T-Mobile customers should be able to get the phone online or in-store. Sprint was in the same boat, but you might want to check with your local branch just in case.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 features a 1.6GHz eight-core Exynos 5 Octa processor or a 1.9GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor (depending on country), 2GB of RAM, a 5-inch 1920x1080 Full HD AMOLED display at 441 ppi, a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with 1080p HD video, a 2-megapixel front facing camera, internal storage between 16 and 64GB, an SD card slot that can accommodate an additional 64GB, a polycarbonate body, Smart Pause and floating touch tech and runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.
