Watch Dogs, the latest open-world action game from Ubisoft, now has an official release date. Gamers will be able to pick up the game on November 19 (November 22 in Europe) for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U, and PC. In addition, Ubisoft revealed to IGN that the game will be a launch title for the PlayStation 4.  Watch Dogs is "also planned for other next-generation consoles," which would indicate that the game will be making an appearance on the next-gen Xbox as well.

The game will also ship with four special edition collector's versions of the game. The Dedsec Edition will be the most elaborate, containing a figure of Aiden, the playable character, a soundtrack for the game, artbook, map of the game's version of Chicago, four augmented reality collectable cards, and three badges, all with a steelbook game case and collector's box.

The Dedsec Edition will also have three single player missions as DLC included. These are the Palace Pack, Signature Shot, and Breakthrough Pack. Palace Pack involves raiding the home of an internet mogul. Signature Shot involves tracking down a biometrics weapon within Chicago. Finally, Breakthrough deals with rescuing CEO's being ransomed by criminals.

The other three collector's editions of Watch Dogs include the Vigilante edition, which holds Aiden's cap and mask, in addition to the game's soundtrack and the Palace Pack mission. The UPlay Exclusive Edition comes in the steelbook case and includes all three missions. Finally, the regular Special Edition comes with the Breakthrough Pack.

Watch Dogs looks to be a special game, no matter if gamers pick it up on current or next-gen systems. Ubisoft has a history of making fantastic open-world games, such as the Assassin's Creed series, so Watch Dogs has the potential to appeal to both current gen and next-gen gamers when the game becomes available in November.
