Yesterday we reported that source code on the Samsung web page confirmed the existence of the Samsung Galaxy S4. Now SamMobile says it won't be available until mid-July.

"Samsung delayed the Galaxy S4 mini to week 29 which previous it was week 21," SamMobile writes.

A week 21 release would have put the Galaxy S4 Mini on the market in early June, just about when we speculated it would come. No word on the reason for the delay; it could be technical issues with the design of the smaller model, or marketing considerations. Plenty of high-end phones are hitting the market in the next few weeks, so maybe Samsung is looking to put some distance between the different models of the S4.

Of course, SamMobile doesn't point to a source, not even an unnamed one, so it's possible the Galaxy S4 Mini is still on schedule and will be out in a few weeks. It this point there's really no way to know, since Samsung hasn't even officially acknowledged the phone.

According to what we can tell from the codes listed surreptitiously on the Samsung website, in addition to the single and dual SIM versions of the Galaxy S4 Mini, there is also a separate LTE-enabled version of the phone, so that may not be a standard feature.

Last year's Mini version of the Galaxy S3 also included tech that isn't quite as flashy as the full-size version.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini will likely come in several version featuring either a quad-core processor and a single SIM or a dual-core processor with dual SIMs, a 4.3-inch 960x540 qHD dislay, an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera and run Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean with Samsung's TouchWiz UX interface.

Check back for the latest information on the Galaxy S4 Mini as it becomes available.
