New code on the Samsung website hints at the upcoming release of the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini.

The name GT-I9190 appears in the source code of the Samsung page. As the Galaxy S3 Mini bore the name GT-I8190, this is almost definitely the S4 version of the smaller phone.

The code also confirms the Galaxy S4 Mini will have a qHD display, which usually means a resolution of 960 by 540 pixels.

Several versions seem to be in the works. In addition to the stock model, there is a dual-SIM variant, which allows the phone to run two seprate mobile accounts, useful for people who travel overseas and don't want to pay exorbitant roaming charges, or for businesspeople who want to keep their work and personal accounts separate without lugging around two devices.

There's also a GT-I9195, which appears to be the LTE-enabled variant of th Ga;axy S4 Mini.

While there's no confirmed release date yet, the fact that the phone is showing up on the website means Samsung is at least prepping the stage for its release. Judging from last year's release of the Galaxy S3 Mini, we shouldn't have to wait long after the debut of the Galaxy S4 before its more compact counterpart hits the scene. Look for it in late May or early June, after the glut of high-end phones on the market subsides but before the next iteration of the iPhone is officially available.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini will likely come in several version featuring either a quad-core or dual-core processor, single or dual SIMs, a 4.3-inch 960x540 qHD dislay, an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera and run Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean with Samsung's TouchWiz UX interface.
