The Microsoft Surface with Windows 8 Pro tablet will launch in China as soon as next week, based on a new report.

The Microsoft tablet, which launched in the United States in February, has been set to debut in the "coming months" across Australia, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom. According to the Chinese website Weibo, China's time has come.

The Surface with Windows 8 Pro will start distribution on April 2 in China.

While prices were not disclosed, Forbes is reporting that Weibo might have received their information from Tmall, an official Microsoft partner in China. The Chinese Microsoft Store does have a Surface page activated.

The launch in China could provide Microsoft a necessary boost in sales. According to Bloomberg, the Surface tablet, including the Surface with Windows RT, has been purchased 1.5 million times. The sales figures are considered to be a "slow start" for the company.

Three insiders stated Microsoft ordered three million Surface with Windows RT tablets but have sold a little more than a million while about 400,000 units of the Surface with Windows 8 Pro were sold.

Although Microsoft has not confirmed the sales numbers, they have announced the Surface with Windows RT will also rollout outside the United States, with Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Russia, Singapore, and Taiwan set to see the tablet soon.
