Mozilla is seeking developers for their upcoming Firefox operating system, and they're going worldwide for the the opportunity.
The browser company has set up three one-day app workshops in two continents.
"These one-day Open Web App Workshops are designed to help you complete an HTML5 web app for Firefox OS or get your existing HTML5 web app working well on the Firefox OS phone and into the Firefox Marketplace," noted Mozilla in the application.
Mozilla emphasized that the workshops are geared for skilled app developers. Space is also limited, and they hope to respond to applicants quickly.
Questions in the application include:
- What category of app are you planning to build or port to Firefox OS? (i.e, Games, Health, Shopping, Travel, News, and more).
- Do you have any existing apps (mobile or web) you can point us to?
- Have you thought about which webAPIs you'll need for your app?
The first workshop will be on Sat., April 20 in Madrid, Spain. The May 18 workshop will be in Bogota, Colombia. The final workshop is in Warsaw, Poland on Sat., June 1.
Mozilla hopes to add more workshops and locations later in the season.
"We're looking for small teams or solo developers with solid ideas and strong web development skills," stated Mozilla Hack's Havi Hoffman. "If you've already built a successful PhoneGap, Chrome, webOS, Blackberry WebWorks app, or other open web app for mobile or desktop, we'd love to work with you on migrating your existing app or building a new one."
Ahead of applying or participating in the workshops, Mozilla offers the follow resources:
2. Getting started with Open Web Apps - why and how,
3. Using WebAPIs to make the web layer more capable,

5. What is a FirefoxOS App anyways? (video introduction),
