Those waiting for the latest from Samsung, the Galaxy S4, will have six different carriers in the United States selling the phone, beginning in April.

Carriers AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, Cricket, U.S. Cellular, and Verizon will all have the new phone available for customers in the near future, but not all at once, as CNET reports, some carriers will not get the phone until May.

While Samsung has announced a general time frame for the roll out, the specific dates remain a mystery. Of the six carriers, T-Mobile has a pre-order site available here, and Sprint has said that the phone will be available during the second quarter of this year. The other four carriers do not have any additional information. There is also no price available for the Galaxy S4, although it will probably retail for around $200 with a contract.

The Galaxy S4 will run the latest Android 4.2.2, and will come with a wide variety of new features. There will be a TV control app, eye-tracking and gesture capabilities for the phone.

In addition, the technical specs of the phone are a step up from the already powerful S3, featuring a larger 5-inch screen with 1080p resolution, a better rear-facing camera, 1.9GHz quad-core processor, and a higher capacity battery.

It is very impressive that Samsung was able to pull together the six carriers for the phone and have them all release the phone during the same vague time table. That kind of uniform launch is an impressive feat in and of itself and has been a trademark of past Samsung flagship launches. Once the pricing becomes available and each carrier announces their release date for the phone you can expect more updates on the device. Until then, rumors and speculation will continue to circulate as the April/May release time frame gets closer and closer.
