There's a new BioShock trailer out, and it highlights some of the awesome destructive powers that Booker Dewitt has at his disposal.
From skyhooks to Vigors, Infinite's version of Plasmids, Booker has a wide range of tools to deal with this game's enemies. The trailer also continues to set up the story, revealing that Booker's mission is undertaken to settle a gambling debt, and also gives a better look at why Elizabeth's powers are so sought after.
Set in 1912, the game follows Booker Dewitt as he journeys to the flying city of Columbia in search of Elizabeth, who he was tasked with bringing to a mysterious organization. However, once he reaches Columbia, a tattoo he has marks him as a prophesized "false shephard" that will bring the city's downfall.
BioShock Infinite will launch on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC on March 26, 2013. Pre-orders are currently available at a variety of retailers, with incentives on Steam including Industrial Revolution Pack, which gives gamers three gear items, five lockpicks, bonus in-game currency, and the Industrial Revolution puzzle game (which itself unlocks more items), exclusive Team Fortress 2 items, and if enough people purchase the game, a free copy of X-Com: Enemy Unknown.
The game was developed by 2K Games, and was directed by Ken Levine. It is not yet known whether or not this title is set in the same continuity as the other two BioShock games. Early previews of the game have been very positive, but as of yet, no actual reviews have been published.
