Verizon customers in the U.S. impatiently waiting for the BlackBerry Z10 can preorder the new smartphone starting today.
"The BlackBerry® Z10 will be available for pre-order starting March 14 at 8am ET on www.verizonwireless.com/blackberryz10. The new smartphone will be available online and in Verizon Wireless stores starting March 28. Customers will be able to choose from two color models, Black or White, with White being a Verizon Wireless exclusive," Verizon said in a press release.
The Z10 will cost $199.99 with a two-year Verizon contract.
The next two weeks feature a blitz of releases in the United States for the much-anticipated BlackBerry Z10.
T-Mobile business customers should get their hands on the phone this week, while the general public should be able to buy the Z10 around the same time as Verizon customers.
AT&T preorders for the Z10 are open, and it should be delivered by Mar. 22.
While Sprint had previously said it wouldn't carry the Z10, opting to hold out for the QWERTY keyboard-enabled BlackBerry Q10 due out in the next few months, new rumors disagree.
Insiders say Sprint will offer and upgraded "version 2.0" of the BlackBerry Z10 sometime later this year, though there's been no official word from the company.
The BlackBerry Z10 features a 1.5 GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 plus processor, 2 GB of RAM, a 4.2-inch 1280x768 display, an 8 megapixel camera with 1080p HD video, 16 GB of internal storage and runs the newly revamped BlackBerry 10 operating system.
