Activision's official Call of Duty Elite application has finally been released for Windows Phones, following previous versions for the iOS and Android platforms. The app, which is currently only compatible with Windows Phone 8 devices, is available as a free of charge download.

The Call of Duty Elite app can be used to view your current Career Summary, with statistics including kill/death ratios, win ratios, your current level, favorite weapons, and clan leaderboards. You can also see the numbers on your recent matches, and view charts that analyze your progress over time.

Additionally, the app gives users access to Call of Duty Elite TV programming, including tips and strategy videos, custom class overviews, and recent professional matches. Using the Elite app also gives users the opportunity to join leagues and competitions on the go, which offer Clan XP and digital badges as prizes. You can download the application in the Windows Phone store here.

Call of Duty Elite is an online service with both a paid and free version. The service links with players' Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer accounts, allowing them to access statistics and data from a console app, through their phones, and also via Facebook. It also gives paid members early access to DLC, as well as bonus video content, clan leveling, and daily competitions.

On March 31 of last year, Activision reported that the service had over 10 million players signed up, with 2 million of them being paid subscribers.

This new version of the app comes hot on the heels of Activision's reveal that a new Call of Duty was set for release in 2013. A title and developer have not been officially announced.
