The 16th Annual SXSW Interactive Awards Ceremony is set to happen tonight, "celebrating those who are building tomorrow's interactive trends." Honors and recognitions will be presented for the best new digital work, including everything from mobile apps, to websites, to film and television projects.
Founded in 1997, the awards were originally known as the SXSW Web Awards, but have since been expanded to encompass the growing range of interactivity in digital mediums.
In addition to the awards presentation, the ceremony will also honor the 2013 SXSW Interactive Festival Hall of Fame inductee, and will be hosted by Aisha Tyler. If you're not at SXSW, you can still watch the awards by tuning in to sxsw.com/live for an online live stream, beginning at 8:00 PM EDT.
Here is a list of the finalists. The winners will be announced at the ceremony tonight, Tuesday, March 12, at the Hilton Austin Downtown.
