Borderlands 2 fans can soon look forward to a new Vault Hunter joining the game. IGN reports that a teaser shown during Gearbox's panel at the SXSW Festival yesterday revealed that a new character will be coming to the popular action game.The teaser states reveals a little bit of what gamers can expect from the next DLC campaign for Borderlands 2.
"Deep beneath Pandora, an experiment has escaped. Bandits beware, a new Vault Hunter is coming. More mayhem awaits."
If you are wondering when this new playable character will become available, Gearbox has not revealed a release date for the DLC yet. However, Gearbox franchise director Matt Armstrong has said this will part of the Season Pass DLC package, and the developers plan to have this content available for eager fans soon.
"DLC is announced on a very tight schedule, and I don't think you'll have to wait long until you see that character."
Gearbox has released three DLC packages so far to players (Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate's Booty, Mr. Torgue's Campaign of Carnage and Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt) in addition to a downloadable character class, the Mecromancer. While this DLC package may be the last one for the Season Pass, Gearbox has hinted that more DLC could become available later.
No word yet on if this DLC will finally be the one that raises the level cap up in the game. Judging from the description Gearbox has given us, perhaps players will be delving underground, maybe looking for one last vault to raid. In the meantime, fans of the over-the-top first person shooter will have to content themselves on exploring what parts of Pandora they have available to them.
