The 128GB Microsoft Surface tablet with Windows 8 Pro is once again "out of stock."
It has been a rollercoaster ride for potential customers of the 128GB model of the Surface with Windows 8 Pro. As Latinos Post has been monitoring, the 128GB model has been out of stock consistently since its Feb. 16 release. After selling out its first set of stock, the 128GB began accepting orders again but with a two week shipping delay until March 1.
Coming into the end of February, the 128GB model was again out of stock, however, at the start of this week, the 128GB model was accepting orders once again that won't be shipped until March 12.
It appears the stock for March 12 has reached its limit. As of March 7, the 128GB tablet is out of stock
Unlike the first time the 128GB Surface with Windows 8 Pro tablet was sold out on Feb. 16, Microsoft has not issued a statement nor did Microsoft Surface General Manager Panos Panay issue a blog post on the ongoing sellouts.
The 64GB model of the Surface with Windows 8 Pro is accepting orders without shipping delays. The same can be said for the Surface with Windows RT tablets, which are available in 32GB and 64GB models.
The 128GB selling out comes as Microsoft confirmed both the Surface with Windows RT and Surface with Windows 8 Pro will start shipping to numerous countries outside the U.S.
The Surface tablet with Windows RT will be available in Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Russia, Singapore, and Taiwan in later this month. The Surface with Windows 8 Pro will also be available in the "coming months" to New Zealand, as well as Australia, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, and the United Kingdom.
"We are eager to see people and businesses in more countries get a chance to experience this new category of devices," said Panay. "Surface is the best of a tablet and a PC."
The Microsoft Surface with Windows 8 Pro is priced in the U.S. at $899 for the 64GB model and $999 for the 128GB model.
