Verizon has provided a price and release date for Samsung's Galaxy Note 10.1.
The Galaxy Note 10.1 was confirmed to be part of the Verizon brand in January during the Consumer Electronic Show (CES), but new information has been announced after the tablet made it through U.S. Cellular.
Carrier U.S. Cellular confirmed the Galaxy Note 10.1 late February with a price tag of $499.99 for the 16GB model, but Verizon is offering the 4G LTE tablet at a higher cost.
Starting March 7, Verizon Wireless will carry the Galaxy Note 10.1 for $599.99. Users can add the tablet to Verizon's "Share Everything" account for an additional $10. According to the Washington Post, prepaid plans range from $20 per month for 1GB of data to $80 for 10GB of data.
The addition of the Galaxy Note 10.1 on Verizon puts Samsung on route to their sales plans. The South Korean-based company stated it hopes to sell about 40 million tablet units during 2013.
The Galaxy Note 10.1 isn't the only tablet that Samsung expects sales from as the Galaxy Note 8.0 was confirmed during the 2013 Mobile World Congress.
The Galaxy Note 8.0 shares some similar features to the Galaxy Note 10.1. The upcoming 8-inch tablet, set for a second quarter release date, has a screen resolution of 1,280x800 at 189 pixels per inch, 16GB and 32GB internal storage, 2GB of RAM, a rear-facing 5-megapixel camera with 2,592x1,944 pixels, and a front-facing 1.3-megapixel camera. Android operating system version 4.1.2, and a 4,600mAh battery capacity help round out the tablet,
Features of the Galaxy Note 10.1 include a screen pixel resolution of 1,280x800 with 149 pixels per inch, internal storage models 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB with 2GB of RAM, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, rear-facing 5-megapixel camera with 2,592x1,944 pixels, front-facing 1.9-megapixel camera, Android operating system version 4.0.3 but upgradable to version 4.1 Jelly Bean, and 7,000 mAh battery.
