Despite the criticisms Microsoft's Internet Explorer gets, it still dominates the browser market share.
Back in January, Latinos Post reported on the statistics provided by Net Market Share, showing Microsoft's Internet Explorer browser as the most used browser - regardless of version - with 54.77 percent.
The February statistics are now out and Net Market Share shows Internet Explorer has increased their share among Desktop browsers to 55.82 percent.
Internet Explorer's numbers are more than double compared to rival browsers. Mozilla Firefox is the second most used browser with 20.12 percent, followed by Google Chrome with 16.27 percent, and Apple's Safari rounding the top four with 5.42 percent.
When it comes to specific browser versions, the latest Internet Explorer 10 still failed to register into its own category. Internet Explorer 8 and Internet Explorer 9 accounted for a massive chunk of the "Desktop Browser Version Market Share" with 23.38 percent and 21.67 percent, respectively.
Mozilla Firefox 18 placed third with 11.05 percent, but Google Chrome 24.0 was close behind at 10.88 percent.
In comparison to January's figures, the use of Internet Explorer 8 is down compared to its 23.54 percent last month while Internet Explorer 9 jumped from 20.93 percent. Google Chrome 24.0 and Mozilla Firefox 18 also saw gains compared to January 2013 by 2.18 percent and 2.77 percent, respectively.
