Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 owners can now count themselves part of the Jelly Bean club.
Android 4.0, or Ice Cream Sandwich, came with the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 out of the box, but the tablet now upgradable to the 4.1.2 version, or Jelly Bean, operating system.
Owners of the Galaxy Tab 2 .0 can download the update through Samsung KIES or Over-The-Air (OTA). The update is still in the rolling out phase, so if you haven't received an OTA notification just yet, then be patient.
According to Sammobile, the official Firmware details of the Android 4.1.2 update is as follows:
Android Version: 4.1.2 - Build JZO54K
PDA: P3110ZSDMB4
CSC: P3110TGYDMB4.
The Android 4.1.2 update comes a month after the Android 4.1.1 update was distributed for the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0. Android 4.1.1 is also a Jelly Bean update.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 was announced in February 2012 and launched in April with a seven-inch screen and 1,024x600 pixels.
Additional features of the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 is a rear-facing 3.15-megapixel camera with 2,048x1,536 pixels, VGA front-facing camera, internal storage variants of 8GB, 16GB, and 32GB with 1GB of RAM, 4,000mAh battery capacity, and is available in black, red, and white.
