Rumors continue to swirl around the iPhone 5S release date. While few say that it will be launched in 2014, many speculators believe that Apple will release its newest smartphone in June or July and make the announcement this May. They also predict the iPhone 5S will go into production starting in March 2013
The iPhone 5 is already one of the best Smartphones on the market and many believe the iPhone 5S won't stray away far from it in design. However, a few of its features will be upgraded, as it will also include performance improvements like a larger screen, better camera, a faster CPU/GPU, a high resolution camera with 13 megapixel sensor and multiple color options according to some blogs.
Contrary to rumors about the 5S summer 2013 release, a new report from MacRumors predicts the tech giant would not launch the iPhone 5S before mid-2014. The report mentions the 4.8 inch iPhone model, but said the design will be for the iPhone 6 rather than iPhone 5S. In the report, analyst Peter Misek of investment bank Jeffries is quoted as saying that the launch in 2013 seems improbable due to some substantial changes to the hardware and software of the device. "Revamped OS. We think Apple plans to re-architect iOS to utilize more cores and better compete with Samsung. Also, we believe the way iOS interoperates with iCloud, gestures controls, and advertising will be substantially upgraded," said Misek.
In September 2012, Apple released the iPhone 5 and the iPhone 4S was released in October of 2011. However, before that Apple consistently released its new iPhone's around June or July, including the original iPhone in 2007, the iPhone 3G in 2008, the iPhone 3GS in 2009 and the iPhone 4 in 2010.
