Nokia might be preparing to debut a new smartphone once the Mobile World Congress (MWC) starts in Barcelona and a leaked image could elude what it could be.
At the MWC 2012, Nokia debuted the 808 PureView cameraphone and the Lumia 610, so the idea of premiering a new device by Nokia at MWC is not new.
Nokia has confirmed a press conference at the Barcelona event, set to take place on the first day (Feb. 25) at 9 a.m. local time. In U.S. Eastern Time, the press conference will take place at 3 p.m.
A possible device that could launch at the press conference is the successor of the Lumia 920, which has been coined the Catwalk. The Lumia EOS has also been a likely successor for the Windows Phone 8 smartphone.
According to MyNokiaBlog, an image from China Mobile, a carrier in China, shows a new line of the Lumia series known as the Lumia 1000. The China Mobile image features a laundry list of other Lumia devices, from the 505, 510, 610, 620, 710, 719, 820, 920, 920T, and more.
Could the Lumia 1000 be the Catwalk or EOS? Or perhaps it's a typo or placeholder China Mobile placed?
Latinos Post will cover the Nokia Feb. 25 press conference and detail what Nokia decided to launch.
