The Microsoft Surface Pro ultrabook/tablet hybrid hits stores on Feb. 8, but it's already showed up on Best Buy's website.

"Best Buy lists the two available models, 64GB and 128GB, priced at $899 and $999, respectively," writes CNET. "Neither product comes with the $129 Type Cover, which is a 5.75 mm-thick mechanical keyboard."

While the Surface Pro is listed on the website, it isn't available for preorder yet.

Sales of the tablet version of the Surface, the Surface RT, have been below Microsoft's expectations, so the launch of the Surface Pro this week needs to go smoothly for Microsoft.

The company is hoping the extra computing power of the Surface Pro will lure in customers unimpressed by the Surface RT.

"The tablet comes with 4GB of memory and an Intel 'Ivy Bridge' processor. Combine those two features with the 128GB solid-state drive, and you have an ultrabook in tablet's clothing," says CNET.

But Microsoft has already had to deal with fallout after is was revealed that the Windows 8 Pro operating system takes up a whopping 45 GB of space on the Surface Pro's hard drive, leaving only 23 GB available for programs and data on the 64 GB version, and 83 GB available on the 128 GB version.

Still, interested customers might be able to take a look at the Surface Pro in person. Some Microsoft stores have it on display now, as do a few Best Buy stores, but neither company is saying exactly where. Perhaps this is a marketing ploy turned scavenger hunt?
