The HTC M7, HTC's next flagship smartphone, will be released in the United States on the AT&T, Sprint, and Verizon networks, according to @evleaks on Twitter, who gave us the first rendered image of the HTC M7 and leaks all sorts of information about HTC and the mobile industry. No word on whether T-Mobile will be included in the roll out, as @evleaks simply said that T-Mobile is "the only major US carrier lacking concrete evidence," but as the Mobile World Congress quickly approaches, more updates are expected.
As we previously reported, images and then photos of the M7 have been leaking over the past week and a half, and some rumored tech specs have gone around the web. One significant difference with the M7 is that it looks to be sporting the newest version of HTC Sense, Sense 5. From the look of the most recent leaked photo, courtesy of HTC Source, Sense 5 looks to be simplified, spare, and slimmed down from its previous incarnation (also notice that the weather widget is set to Barcelona, hinting at the expected launch place and time, the Mobile World Congress, which starts on Feb. 25).
The M7 has been rumored to have a 5-inch screen, but other sources are reporting that HTC will stick with 4.7 inches. Other specs for the M7 include a 1080p high definition output on the display, a 13-megapixel main camera with a 2-megapixel front-facer, 32GB of storage, a 1.7 GHz quad-core processor, and 2GB of RAM. It will likely be running the latest version of Android Jelly Bean, version 4.2.
The M7 will probably be launched at the World Mobile Congress and released in the United States soon after that, possibly in March.
