We have known the price points for the U.S. Microsoft Office 2013 suites for quite a while, but the same cannot be said for the U.K. Until now, that is. PC Pro reports that the online retailer Argos has listed the productivity software bundles prematurely, leaking the cost of Office Standard, Office Home and Business, and Office Home and Student.
Consumers will reportedly be able to get their hands on Office Home and Student for £110, and Office 365 Home Premium for either £80 or £6.66/month. Additional price points are still in the dark, but will almost certainly surface as we approach the software's release date.
So, how about Office in the U.S.? For starters, the traditional Office Standard will cost $369, while Office Professional Plus 2013 is priced at $499. Undergrads and doctoral students may want to check out Office Home & Student 2013 for $139.99. Meanwhile, Home and Business is priced at $219.99, and Office Professional 2013 runs $399.99. As for Office 365 Home Premium, consumers can nab the software bundle for $8.33/month. Office 365 Small Business Premium will be priced at $12.50/month, 365 University at $3.30/month, 365 Midsize Business at $15/month, and 365 Enterprise & Government at $20/month.
The Redmond-based company recently announced that Office Professional Plus 2013 is now available for download on Microsoft's Home Use Program (HUP) for a one-time charge of $9.95.
Microsoft has further incentivized the new Office with a promotion that encourages any consumer who purchases Microsoft Office 2010 between now and April 30, 2013 to apply for a free upgrade to Microsoft Office 2013 or a one-year subscription to Office 365.
Microsoft Office 2013 is reportedly slated for release at the end of January, so stay tuned for regular updates.
