Every single one of us has our own wishlist as to what we would like out of next-generation smartphones. Apple will be releasing several new iPhones this year, reports indicate, including the iPhone 5S by June. While rumors are already swirling about the iPhone 5S, one innovative concept from De Poorter Design shows what a flexible iPhone.

Called the iFlex, the flexible iPhone concept shows off a iPhone-esque smartphone folded and molded into various positions for easier viewing.

"iFlex illustrates the future possibilities offered by this new flexible displays," De Poorter Design states.

"The iFlex concept can give birth to the flexApps, a new generation of software applications that have never been possible with rigid displays."

De Poorter Design states that the iFlex will use a combination of aluminum, nylon, and silicon with deformable inlay alongside the flexible display. The iFlex also comes with a magnetic closure so that the phone can be folded onto itself for storage purposes.

Keep in mind that this is merely a concept design, and is in no way anything official from Apple. You can be sure that flexible displays will eventually be featured on iPhones, but for now, expect the next iPhone to have a rigid display.

Apple is supposed to release the iPhone 5S by June, according to most analysts, and while the display will remain rigid, it is expected to be capable of 1080p. The iPhone 5S is supposed to come in a variety of colors and have an NFC chip, marking a first for the iPhone. It should be running the latest version of iOS at the time of its release, most likely iOS 7.

What do you think of the iFlex concept?
