With the news that both Watch Dogs and Driveclub will be delayed until 2014, those who ordered the PlayStation 4 suddenly are out two of the most anticipated launch titles available for the system when it is released Nov. 15. To help out those stuck without their top choice of launch title, here are the top 5 replacements for Watch Dogs and Driveclub:
5. DC Universe Online- This game will be offered for free on the PlayStation Network, so those who paid for either delayed game in full and don't want to spend an extra $60 at launch should check into this MMO. Players will be able to create their own superhero or villain and encounter various DC Comics icons throughout the game.
4. FlOw/Flower- These two classic indy titles from Thatgamecompany were two of the most critically acclaimed PlayStation 3 games to come out on the console, so either would be worth checking out for first time players on the PlayStation 4. Freeflowing and majestic, these games offer a different gaming experience and will be available for far less than a full-priced game.
3. Knack- While Knack may be overshadowed by bigger names such as "Call of Duty: Ghosts, Battlefield 4," and the EA Sports titles coming to the PlayStation 4, the game has a unique quality to it that should draw in gamers. With Driveclub now out of the launch title picture, Knack represents the best Sony exclusive coming out on Nov. 15.
2. Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition- This reissue of the popular DC Comics fighting game includes all the previous DLC released by NetherRealm studios, making it a worthy buy for new players and veterans alike. Plus, this title can offer a good side-by-side comparison between the old and new console experience so users can see exactly what the PlayStation 4 brings to the table.
1. Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag- Made by Watch Dogs developer Ubisoft, this open world title set on the high seas is now a frontrunner for best launch title for the PlayStation 4. With the series transitioning to both a new console and a new modern day setting without longtime protagonist "Desmond, Assassin's Creed 4" will try to set the benchmark for what the next gen consoles can accomplish. Ubisoft has released a treasure trove of gameplay videos for the game, so "Assassin's Creed 4" represents the best option for those looking for a new PlayStation 4 launch title to buy.
