Warner Music Latina label announced the formation of a new metal rock band with three of the most famous musicians in Latin Rock. This band will be formed by Mana's drummer Alex Gonzalez, Sepultura's guitarist Andreas Kisser, Los Fabulosos Cadillacs' bassist Flavio Cianciarulo and DMENTE's singer Andres Gimenez.
In a statement quoted by Mexican newspaper Publimetro, the record label spoke about De La Tierra. "The public will find the definition of what you can described as powerful Latin metal band composed by four excellent musicians with a long and well recognized career," the label stated.
The newspaper said the project was planned 8 years ago by drummer Alex Gonzalez and Argentinean Andres Gimenez, joining later the two remaining musicians who will seek to show Latin rock metal quality to the global market.
Warner Music Latina did not say whether De La Tierra will be a short-term project or if it will be a permanent band, considering the musicians and composer have commitments in their own rock bands.
