Super Smash Bros 4 is one of the games Nintendo fans are waiting for in 2014, and it represents one of the best chances to get the Wii U back on track and competitive with the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in terms of software. As in the case with most fighting games, the roster will be updated with new and returning characters, as well as tweaks to characters to provide a new balance for the game. Now, the director of the game, Masahiro Sakurai has commented on the balance of one fan favorite character, noting that the character is "super strong" in the most current version of the game.

According to a report from the Official Nintendo Magazine, Sakurai commented on one of the newest screenshots from the game, featuring the powerhouse Donkey Kong bringing the pain to Mario and Luigi. Sakurai commented that Donkey Kong, already one of the stronger characters in the game, is super strong in the latest build version of the game, which may indicate that he is stronger than other similar characters such as Bowser or Ganondorf (who has yet to be officially confirmed, but is one of the characters that has been in multiple games in the past). However, Sakurai also revealed that during this critical stage the team developing and testing the game will be going over the battle records to make sure that all the characters are properly balanced, which means that Donkey Kong may no longer have super strength when the game comes out.

Other screenshots from the game have revealed more about what gamers can expect from the latest Super Smash Bros game, which will be release on both the Wii U and 3DS. One screenshot shows one of the game's new characters, the Villager from Animal Crossing getting the balloons he uses to fly getting popped by  Fox. This indicates that the character can have his recovery move cut short by opposing players, as rivals can pop the balloons and cause the character to plummet to his doom.

While Super Smash Bros 4 does not have a release date yet, Nintendo's official website for the game constantly delivers new information about the game, so fans can get their daily fix of screenshots from the game as they wait for the game to come out. Look for more updates about the game as Nintendo continues to tweak the game and prepare to unleash the brawler next year.
