Fred Durst, who acknowledged himself as a diehard Tim Tebow fan, believes the Jacksonville Jaguars have to sign the former Heisman Trophy winner, the Jacksonville native and Limp Bizkit vocalist said during an Ask Me Anything session on Reddit.
After over a decade of slam-bang music, the 42-year old Durst is still living the life of a rock star. On Monday, the controversial Limp Bizkit frontman expressed his appreciation to his fans by hosting an AMA session on Reddit.
Durst, who has been known for his no-holds-barred comments, was surprisingly thoughtful in every question he answered during the AMA.
Though the Q&A session centered on his life, music and band, there's one answer that really caught everyone's attention. Apparently, it was about Tebow.
Curious of the singer's interest in sports, a Reddit user asked Durst if he's a Jaguars fan and would he be willing to join a tailgate party at the Jags' season-opener.
Here's the conversation on Reddit:
"Hey Fred, are you a fan of the Jaguars? I'd like to invite you to our tailgate in Jacksonville on September 8th!," said BurritoBrosShits.
"Honestly, i think the Jaguars should bring Tim Tebow on board and stop ignoring the elephant in the room. The moral could help, a lot," Durst replied.
Right now, it's impossible to see the Jaguars bringing Tebow home, especially considering he's already gearing up for next season as one of the back-up quarterbacks for the New England Patriots' Tom Brady. But who knows what could happen next? Everyone seems interested to see Tebow playing in front of a home crowd. One day, Durst just might be there watching his friend leading the Jags to football relevancy.
