Pound-for-pound champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. said he's already fed up with over-hyped fighters lined up to him by Golden Boy Promotions, including his upcoming opponent Saul "Canelo" Alvarez.
Mayweather had been playing nice since the 10-city tour began in New York last week, but on Tuesday's press conference in Los Angeles, Money was all business.
The undefeated American boxer took some shots on the credibility of Canelo as his next opponent and how the media turned him into a "star."
"I can't speak about Oscar, but I can say this: Richard Schaefer is Golden Boy. I just sit back and think about it at night when I think about certain fighters. They say 'Mayweather you know you're facing Canelo,' but can you tell me 10 world champions that he beat? Just 10, that's all I ask," Mayweather said.
"You know what? I've been sitting on top of the throne for 17 years. Every time they set up a guy, then build them up, you know what I do? It's so crazy that Canelo is such a big star and that he's not even been on pay per view unless it was on my undercards, but he's such a big star; He's such a big star," Mayweather sarcastically said about Canelo.
Mayweather, who's notoriously known for his trash-talking, in and out of the ring, might have dropped the biggest bomb before he finished his cookout on Oscar De La Hoya and Canelo.
"Oscar. I sit back and go through my mental rolodex and think, you might as well call me the Golden Boy because I already beat everybody on your whole crew last time I checked. I'm young, I'm fly, I'm flashy, I'm rich. Damn, life is good. I'll see you September 14," Mayweather said emphatically.
Mayweather and Canelo Alvarez will face each other for the WBC Light Middleweight championship at MGM Grand Garden on Sept. 14.
