News on Valve's Highly Anticipated "Half Life 3"
Some new "Half Life 3" details may have surfaced online as Valve themselves admitted that something is going on with the "Half Life" franchise.
Gabe Newell was on hand last week at the BAFTA awards to receive the very prestigious Academy Fellowship. While there, Newell revealed a fairly startling statistic, Valve's business has grown by about 50% over the past year alone. That is some incredible growth for any company, much less in an industry that seen the recent closure of some half a dozen studios.

There might not be an Oscar for game development, but Gabe Newell is still getting recognized this year. He'll be the recipient of this year's BAFTA Fellowship, the highest accolade the organization awards games industry contributors.
While we will have to wait until Valve is good and ready to announce its follow-up to one of the most revered franchises in gaming history, Linux and Mac users were thrown a bone today with the launch of the original Half Life on Steam.
