Fabricio Werdum did mention before that he would be open to a rematch with Cain Velasquez but the latest word around is that he may not necessarily be the first in line.
After handily defeating Fabricio Werdum, two names have been mentioned as his possible opponents – Andrei Arlovski and Stipe Miocic.
Werdum showed he was in pretty good shape, wearing down Velasquez who on the other end seemed to be struggling. After seemingly running out of gas after the second round, Velasquez resorted to take downs as he was seemingly left gasping for air.
Two fighters, the returning Cain Velasquez and interim champion Fabricio Werdum will face off this coming Sunday in a heavyweight title unification match in UFC 188 at the Mexico City Arena in Mexico City.
Cain Velasquez is set to fight Fabricio Werdum for the UFC heavyweight title at UFC 180 on November 15, 2014. The big faceoff will be held in Mexico City.
