Doctor Who
This past weekend, we got the shocking news that Matt Smith, the current incarnation of the Doctor, would be leaving the show in just two episodes. After the upcoming 50th anniversary episode and the Christmas special at the end of the year, the 11th Doctor will presumably meet his end, regenerating with a brand new actor.
After last week's adventure, the Doctor and Clara have picked up two new (miniature) companions. Clara decides to take the children, Angie and Artie, to an extraterrestrial theme park.
The Doctor and Clara return this week on "Journey to the Centre of the TARDIS."
It's a ghost story on this week's Doctor Who! This episode once again sees the Doctor and Clara off on another adventure, this time to a creepy old house.
When we last caught up with him, the Doctor had embarked on a quest to find Clara Oswald. The Bells of Saint John mysteriously opens with a man claiming that human souls are being uploaded to the internet through a special Wi-Fi network.
When we last left the Doctor, Amy and Rory had rejoined him as his full-time traveling companions. Unfortunately, things are about to take a turn for the worst.
The Doctor headed to the 80s in the appropriately titled episode, "Cold War," this past weekend. As you might guess from an ice-themed set-up like this, it also featured the return of one of the Time Lord's oldest enemies.
The series picks back up with Rory and Amy's status as the Doctor's companions in an awkward place. Technically, they're flying around with him on some of his adventures, but the series makes it clear that his visits come few and far between from the Pond's linear time perspective.
Doctor Who Series 7 is about halfway over, and with the show set to return on March 30, it's a great time to take a look back at where the story has taken us so far. I will be going over a good deal of spoilers, so if you're still catching up and want to watch the episodes fresh, be warned!
