The indomitable Nicolas Cage has come under incredibly serious accusations lately and no - it has nothing to do with his money problems. The actor, known for his over-the-top portrayals of anger, is being accused of having died in a tragic snowboarding accident involving a rather vindictive tree.
According to the notorious website Global Associated News:
"The actor & novice snowboarder was vacationing at the Zermatt ski resort in Zermatt, Switzerland with family and friends. Witnesses indicate that Nicholas Cage lost control of his snowboard and struck a tree at a high rate of speed."
The report goes on to report that Cage kicked the bucket instantly, and no amount of resuscitation from any studio would revive him.
"Nicholas Cage was air lifted by ski patrol teams to a local hospital, however, it is believed that the actor died instantly from the impact of the crash. The actor was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident and drugs and alcohol do not appear to have played any part in his death."
Which is surprising, because it's hard to believe that drugs and alcohol aren't constantly pumping through the brain's amygdala in an actor responsible for the following:
Several sites have reported this news as true, but Instead of having to wait until the next box office flop to verify whether or not Nicolas Cage is dead, all one has to do is scroll down to the bottom of the page and read the "THIS STORY IS 100% FAKE" disclaimer. Given the wrong spelling of Cage's name in the article, and the fact that it's hard to believe that a man who survived movies like The Wicker Man and Face Off would die from a simple head-on collision with a tree, it should be easy to dismiss this as another case of Internet speed reading.
