The broadcast and cable news networks are preparing for the 57th inauguration of an U.S. president.
From CBS, NBC, MSNBC, even the outgoing Current TV have outlined their inauguration schedule.
CBS
The Tiffany Network will broadcast the official swearing-in on Sunday at noon but the public swearing-in, taking place the next day, will start as early as 7 a.m. EST with Scott Pelley taking the charge.
From Washington D.C., an extended "CBS This Morning" with Charlie Rose, Gayle King, and Norah O'Donnell will transition to Pelley's CBS News coverage until 4 p.m. EST. O'Donnell will stay with Pelley who will be accompanied with "Face the Nation" host Bob Schieffer.
NBC
The Peacock Network will also start their coverage early with "Today" at 7 a.m. EST with Matt Lauer, Savannah Guthrie, Natalie Morales, Al Roker, and Willie Geist in D.C. At the 10 a.m. hour, "Nightly News" anchor Brian Williams will lead with "Meet the Press" anchor David Gregory and Guthrie.
MSNBC
The Dubliner in D.C. will host "Way Too Early" and "Morning Joe" from 5:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. EST. Joe Scarborough, Mike Brzezinski, and Geist will lead the coverage for the early hours. From 10 a.m., Rachel Maddow, Chris Matthews, Lawrence O'Donnell, Ed Schultz, and the Rev. Al Sharpton will command the MSNBC coverage until 4 p.m.
MSNBC's programming will resume normally at 4 p.m. with "Martin Bashir."
Current TV
Coverage on Al Gore's network won't start as early as the before mentioned channels. Coverage at Current TV starts at 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. EST and resume between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. EST.
"The War Room" host Jennifer Granholm and "Viewpoint" host John Fugelson will be in the company of Michael Shure and David Shuster with satellite to satellite coverage from New York City to D.C. to out in the west coast.
This will be Current TV's last inaugural coverage before transitioning to Al Jazeera America.
Latinos Post will provide live streaming to the inauguration as the date approaches.
