It's been a while since Justin Timberlake was last on the charts, but apparently, he's still got it, and then some.

Timberlake's new single, "Suit & Tie," featuring Jay-Z, is on pace to sell roughly 400,000 digital downloads in only its first week since being released.

The sales, if correct, would give Timberlake his biggest selling digital sales week of his entire career. The highest-selling single Timberlake debuted was the 2006 smash-hit "SexyBack," which sold 250,000 digital copies in its premiere week.

Timberlake, who grew to fame with the record-selling male singing group 'N Sync before launching a superstar solo music and movie career, created a lot of buzz last week when he announced that he would be releasing his first single recording since his 2006 album "Futuresex/Lovesounds," two singles of which won Grammy Awards and sold 9 million copies, 4 million in the U.S. alone.

On Monday, Timberlake wrote a letter to his fans regarding his latest upcoming album, "The 20/20 Experience," which is expected to come out sometime this year.

Working on his latest album since June, Timberlake spoke about the creative process that he had gone through in making the album.

"The inspiration for this really came out of the blue and to be honest, I didn't expect anything out of it," Timberlake wrote. "I just went into the studio and started playing around with some sounds and songs. It was probably the best time I've had in my career... Just creating with no rules and/or end goal in mind and really enjoying the process."

"What I came up with is something I couldn't be more excited about! It is full of inspiration that I grew up listening to and some newfound muses that I've discovered along the way," he added.
