Golden Globe Awards 2013 Winners, Results, & Recap: LIVE UPDATES; 'Argo' Major Winner

The Hollywood Foreign Press will hand out the Golden Globe Awards tonight starting at 8 p.m. EST. The one-of-a-kind awards show honors both Film and TV, and brings together the biggest stars in the business.

Among the stars nominated at tonight's awards are Sofia Vergara ("Modern Family"), Juliana Marguiles ("The Good Wife"), Tina Fey ("30 Rock"), Maggie Smith ("Downton Abbey" & "Quartet"), Nicole Kidman ("The Paperboy" & "Hemingway & Gellhorn") and Julianne Moore ("Game Change").

Also nominated are stars Jennifer Lawrence ("Silver Linings Playbook"), Bryan Cranston ("Breaking Bad"), Hugh Jackman ("Les Miserables") and Daniel Day-Lewis ("Lincoln").

Films nominated for top awards include "Lincoln", Django Unchained," "The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel," "Silver Linings Playbook," "Les Miserables," and "Zero Dark Thirty."

Popular shows nominated include "Smash," "Modern Family," " Breaking Bad," "Downton Abbey," "Homeland, " and "The Big Bang Theory."

The Golden Globes Awards have always been good prognosticators for which films and actors will win at the Oscars and a victory tonight could help build momentum for the winner circle's respective filmmakers and artists. Golden Globe nominees Amy Poehler and Tina Fey will host the awards show, which broadcasts live on NBC.
