Last week, CBS’s smash-hit sitcom “The Big Bang Theory” set record ratings for its show, drawing 19.25 million people on Thursday to watch its latest episode.

Can they break another record again tonight when the latest episode of “The Big Bang Theory” debuts?

Last week, more than 19 million viewers tuned in to watch “The Egg Salad Equivalency,” where endearing, yet nerdy physicist Leonard, the clinically-shy Raj and the wisecracking Howard get into trouble after their friend, the Spock-ian like Sheldon Cooper’s attempt to help Leonard fend off the attention of Sheldon’s attractive assistant resulted in disaster.

“A giant thanks to all you amazing fans who tuned into @BigBang_CBS last night- you gave us our biggest numbers ever! WE THANK U!” tweeted actress Kaley Cuoco, who plays Leonard’s girlfriend, the sexy, down-to-earth Penny.

With their record numbers, the sitcom, in its sixth season, is on pace to match “Friends,” which was drawing 20 million viewers during its final season in 2003-2004, as Yahoo! News reports.

This Thursday, the hilarity continues when Leonard, Sheldon and the boys take a trip to a comic book convention dressed as “Star Trek: The Next Generation” characters, only to run into trouble when their car gets stolen, leaving them in the middle of nowhere still in Star Trek garb…and it all goes downhill for them from there.

Meanwhile, Penny and her friends, the pretty, overly-nice Bernadette and the intelligent, yet geeky Amy find themselves at the center of attention when they enter the local comic store.
