The 33rd annual Razzie awards announced their nominations on Tuesday and included "Batleship," "The Oogieloves in Big Balloon Adventure," "That's My Boy," "A Thousand Words," and "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2" among their worst films of the year.
The final chapter of the Twilight series obtained a nomination in every single category including worst film, worst actress for Kristen Stewart, worst director for Bill Condon, worst actor for Robert Pattinson, worst supporting actor for Taylor Lautner and worst supporting actress for Ashley Greene. The film obtained a worst screenplay nomination and wound up with eleven nominations.
"Battleship" obtained six nominations while "The Oogieloves in Big Balloon Adventure" garnered two. "That's My Boy" was nominated for eight nominations and "A Thousand Words" got three.
Five-time Razzie winners Eddy Murphy and Adam Sandler were also nominated will be competing in the worst actor race. Oscar winners Nicolas Cage and Barbara Streisand were included among the worst of the year.
The Razzies were established to recognize the worst in film in a calendar year. The awards are generally handed out a day before the Academy Awards and made history when Sandra Bullock accepted the recognition for worst actress the day before she accepted the best actress award at the Oscars.
The Razzie Awards are scheduled to be handed out on Feb 23.
