President Barack Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton were again named the Most Admired Man and Most Admired Woman living in the world, Gallup announced on Monday. This is the fifth year in a row that Obama has been named the Most Admired Man, while Clinton has been named Most Admired Woman for the last 11 years.

Rounding out the top five most admired men are former South African president Nelson Mandela, former 2012 presidential candidate Mitt Romney, Rev. Billy Graham and former president George W. Bush. In the list of most admired women, First Lady Michelle Obama, TV personality Oprah Winfrey, former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin round out the top five.

According to Gallup, Clinton has a long history of making the polling institute's list of Most Admired Women. This is the 17th time she has made the list since her days as first lady in 1993 and her 11th year in a row topping the list in the No. 1 spot. The soon to be former secretary of state came in second place after Mother Teresa in 1995 and 1996 and lost to Laura Bush in 2001.

Clinton has made the list the most times and is followed by Eleanor Roosevelt (13), Margaret Thatcher (6), Jacqueline Kennedy (5) and Mother Teresa (4), Gallup reported.

President Obama returns for the fifth consecutive as Most Admired Man and comes fifth in the list of men most nominated for the list. Former President Dwight Eisenhower (12) comes in first and is followed by former presidents Ronald Reagan (8), Bill Clinton (8) and George W. Bush (7).

Gallup reported that sitting U.S. presidents are the most likely to win the Most Admired Man award and have done so 56 times out of the 66 years in which the survey has been done. The only years it has not happened have been 1946-1947, 1950-1951, 1967- 1968 and 1973-1975.

Rev. Billy Graham, 94, tops the list of most finishes in the top 10, Gallup reported. Graham, who lives in North Carolina, has finished in the top 10 Most Admired a total 56 times since 1955. He's followed by Ronald Reagan (31) and Pope John Paul II (27).

Queen Elizabeth II of England tops the list of most finishes in the top 10 as the Most Admired Woman, Gallup reported.  The queen, who has appeared on the list 45 times, first appeared on the list in 1948 when she was still a princess. She's followed by Margaret Thatcher (34) and Jacqueline Kennedy (28).

The results emerge from a poll conducted on Dec. 19-22 through USA Today and Gallup. They were released on Monday, December 31, 2012.
