Hollywood A-listers Natalie Portman and Kristen Stewart lead Forbes' list of Hollywood's Best Actors for the Buck, released on Thursday. The actresses were joined by several fellow A-listers that came off box office giants, such as Twilight and Harry Potter.
Portman tops the list following the tremendous success of her indie film, Black Swan, which generated $330 million on an estimated budget of $13 million. According to Forbes' calculations, the 31-year-old actress returns $42.70 for every dollar a studio spends on her. Also considered in the calculations were No Strings Attached, which grossed $150 million globally, and You Highness, a box office flop that earned $25 million.
Twilight actress Kristen Stewart followed closely behind, coming off the international success of her vampire franchise. Stewart, who also made Forbes' Highest Paid Actresses, is estimated to return $40.60 for every dollar spent on her. The 22-year-old actress was paid $25 million for the last two films in the Twilight franchise, but that was nothing compared to the $3.3 billion the films earned globally.
Stewart's fellow Twilight co-stars, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner, were also included in the list. With a return of $31.70 per every dollar he's paid, Pattinson came in 4th place, and was followed by Lautner in 6th place with a $29.50 return. For Pattinson, Forbes looked at Water for Elephants, which earned $118 million globally on a $38 million budget.
Transformers former lead actor Shia LaBeouf came in third place with a return of $35.80 for each dollar he's paid. Rounding out the top five is British actor and household name, Daniel Radcliffe, who shot to fame with his portrayal of a boy wizard in Harry Potter. Radcliffe is calculated to return $30.50 for every dollar spent on him.
The remaining five "Best Actors for the Buck" are: Taylor Lautner ($29.50 return), Bradley Cooper ($25 return), Dwayne Johnson ($22.70 return), Amy Adams ($22.60 return) and Kevin James ($22.40 return).
