In what is looking like a potential high-scoring, high-flying match-up, two of the league's top 10 scoring teams will meet head-to-head tonight as LeBron James and the world champion Miami Heat take on O.J. Mayo and the Dallas Mavericks.

The Heat, who are 4-4 on the road this season, are rolling along on a two-game winning streak, having won seven of their last 10 games, while Dallas is looking to get to the .500 mark and extend their strong home record to 9-3 with a win over the Southeast Division-leading Heat.

Miami and Dallas have met twice in the NBA Finals, in 2006 and 2011, each team defeating the other for the franchise's first championships.

And Dallas has a little momentum coming into tonight's game, with stars Mayo and Chris Kaman coming off big scoring games in a 107-100 home win against the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday, where Mayo scored 26 points and Kaman put in 20 points, including 17 of the team's last 19 points.

However, the Mavericks are coming in a little shorthanded tonight, still without injured superstar Dirk Nowitzki, who is expected to return from knee surgery later this month. Power forward Elton Brand is also questionable for tonight with a groin injury, and reserve Brandan Wright will also be a game time decision with an ankle injury. Mavs point guard Derek Fisher will not be able to play tonight with a strained right knee.

That will put them in a disadvantage against the Heat and James, who is ranked fifth in scoring with 25.0 points per game and has put up 25.8 points in the last 10 games. Meanwhile, the Heat's offense has been rolling along, ranked fourth in the league with 103.1 points per game.
