She officially became an LPGA tour member back in 1977 and later on, was able to win 48 LPGA tour events throughout her career. This included three major championships. 3. Ernie Gonzalez
Born in California, Ernie Gonzalez actively participated in PGA tours during the 1980s. Back in the University, he used to play for the golf team and this is where his golfing career started. 4. Homero Blancas, Jr.
Homero Blancas, Jr. played both the Senior PGA Tour and the PGA Tour. Born in Texas, he was a member of the University of Houston golf team while a student from 1958-1962. He attained a record round of 55 in a tournament held when he was in college considered the lowest to have ever been realized in competitive golf history. This is what he is famously known for and won in a slot in the Guinness Book of Records of the time.
5. Robert Anthony Gamez
Currently playing on the PGA Tour, Robert Anthony Gamez started his golfing career while studying at the University of Arizona, where he was part of the golf team. He participated in the Walker Cup of 1989 and left university to become a professional golfer. Later on, he would win two tournaments in his beginning season on the tour and that was also his first-ever event where he took part in the Northern Telecom Tucson Open.
