Former undefeated UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey will be hosting the long-running parody show "Saturday Night Live" on Jan. 23, 2016.
The Hollywood Reporter confirms that her musical guest will be none other than Selena Gomez, who will also be making her first appearance on the long-running show.
Gomez has had quite a busy career since breaking up with pop singer Justin Bieber. The former "Wizards of Waverly Palace" star has worked on several movies including "Spring Breakers" and "Hotel Transylvania 2." Gomez is also currently working on her own Netflix series.
Rousey's appearance on "SNL" will be one of her first public appearances since her stunning loss to Holly Holm over a month ago in Melbourne.
Much has changed over that time, especially in Rousey's demeanor. The former champion once had this aura of invincibility, which was well deserved since she had little problems defeating her foes in the octagon.
However, Cinemablend reports that Rousey has not sought attention unlike before, which is a drastic change since the fight, even going as far as ducking cameras and reporters when recently sighted at LAX on her way home from the Melbourne fight.
Rousey isn't the first athlete to host "SNL." Charles Barkley has hosted several times, and is a fan favorite. Olympic Swimmer Michael Phelps also hosted a notoriously bad episode of the show, where he botched many of the jokes and missed several queues.
Fans of Rousey are hoping to see the charismatic and usually upbeat character during the show. Many fans have been worried for Rousey since her loss and subsequent interview with ESPN where the ex-Olympian claimed that she is just really bleeping sad right now.
"Saturday Night Live" is just the first of many non-UFC commitments that Rousey has lined up for 2016. She is scheduled to start filming in the re-boot to "Roadhouse" sometime this year, as well as start a book tour for her autobiography titled "My Fight / Your Fight."
Rousey is also looking to start training soon for the rematch with Holms sometime this year. UFC Dana White has already confirmed that the rematch will happen once Rousey clears her medical suspension.
"Saturday Night Live" season 41 is set to return from mid-season break on Jan. 13, 2016 with "Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens" star Adam Driver scheduled to host.
"Saturday Night Live" airs on NBC every Saturday at 11 p.m.
