Singer Jenni Rivera's death has been confirmed by her family.

Mexican authorities have been testing her remains to confirm the names of the seven people onboard of the Learjet 25 that crashed more than 28,000 feet from the air at approximately 620 miles per hour on Sunday.

Rivera's body returned back to the US Thursday night with three of the singer's brothers, Gus, Juan, and Lupillo Rivera on hand after they confirmed the remains is their sister.

"We have received 100 percent confirmation that my sister Jenni is gone to be with the Lord," said Pedro Rivera Jr., brother of the singer. "She is in the presence of God now. They did show pictures to my brothers of the body; it is not the full body."

The remains of Rivera have been taken to All Souls Cemetery and Mortuary in Long Beach, California as funeral preparation could start early next week.

The Rivera family has confirmed the funeral services will be open to the public but specifics have not been set.

The singer, known as "La Diva de La Banda," has left her sister Rosie Rivera in charge of the will and with instructions on how her wishes should be met.

According to Fox News, Rivera has asked not to be cremated, however, Mexican newspaper Reforma reported her remains will be cremated when funeral services take place at the Guadalupe Premier Funeral Home in Nuevo Leon, Mexico.

According to Reforma, the funeral home, not Rivera's family, requested a red colored urn.

Meanwhile, two police officers have been arrested, being accused of stealing items from the site where Rivera's plane crashed. According to the Los Angeles Times, undisclosed items from the crash site were located within the homes of the officers.

Rivera died on Sunday morning as the plane departed from Monterrey, Mexico at 3:30 a.m. on her way to Toluca de Lerdo, west of Mexico City. The plane was reported missing about 10 minutes after liftoff. Rivera was set to arrive in Toluca to attend the Mexican edition of The Voice (La Voz Mexico) on Sunday night, where she serves as one of the four judges.

The plane company in charge of the Learjet 25 has been criticized before, click here for further information.
