Psy's Hit song "Gangnam Style" is one of the most popular and influential songs of 2012. Although fanfare surrounding the song has died down since the song became a world-wide hit, the song makes news again but for the wrong reason.
46-year old Eamonn Kilbride died Saturday, December 8 of a heart attack after dancing to the hit song at an office Christmas Party at Lancashire's Whiltehall Country Club. According to reports, Kilbride was emulating the Korean pop star's moves when he collapsed suddenly.
His wife Julie attempted CPR to revive him and he was taken to the Royal Blackburn Hospital moments later where he was pronounced dead at 11:30 PM. According to the coroner's office, he died of coronary artery atheroma which was likely triggered by the vigorous exercise.
Kilbride left three children Laurajade, 22, Jack 21, and Conor, 18, fatherless. He had been married with Julie for 23 years.
'I want people to know how he would help anybody whether it was a life-long friend, or someone he had just met,' Kilbride's wife said.
Kildbride worked as an IT manager, was a devout Liverpool fan and a golfer.
His funeral will take place on Wednesday December 19 at St. Mary's RC Church in Yorkshire Street, Burnley.
